Tara joined the Greenville General Office as Managing Partner in October of 2022.
Tara started her career with New York Life as an agent in December 2010 in the Westchester General Office in New York. As an agent, Tara achieved council status 8 times in her career and was a Premier Centurion agent 4 times.
Tara got into the Business Solutions Market in 2011 and by early 2012, Tara had become one of a select few to achieve the status of a worksite mentor in only 6 months. Tara was a top case writer at New York Life and in 2017 finished in the top 15 Established case rate leaders in the country. Tara achieved MDRT status in her last year as an agent in 2019.
In January 2019, Tara and her husband, Sean, moved to South Florida and after 9 years in the field, she decided to change her career path and become a Partner with New York Life in November of 2019. After mentoring, coaching, and developing agents in the Business Solutions market her entire career in the field, it was a natural switch to do the same for her team as a Partner. Tara was the top recruiter in the South Florida GO for 2020 and 2021 and was awarded the woman partner with the most appointments in the country in 2020. Tara also earned the View from The Top award in 2020.
The Greenville General Office achieved the award of Management Development in 2023 and Tara was one of the Managing Partners honored with the prestigious Round Table Award.
Ila is originally from New York Her career began in the optical field, where she served as an Optician for many years. In 2017, she relocated to South Florida, continuing her work in the same industry.
In September 2019, Ila joined New York Life as a Financial Professional. After several years of dedicated service in Florida, an opportunity arose for her partner to become Managing Partner in the Greenville, SC office. This move also opened doors for Ila to enter the Associate Partner Program. Embracing this new challenge, Ila moved to Greenville; she successfully graduated from the Associate Partner Program and has been serving as a Partner in the Greenville General Office since November 2023.
In her role as Partner, Ila's responsibilities encompass recruiting new financial professionals and fostering the development of agents. She is also the appointed New York Life Volunteer for Good Ambassador for the Greenville Office, a testament to her commitment to community service.
Vinson McCray, born on May 29, 1972 is a seasoned professional with a diverse educational and professional background. He hails from Timmonsville, SC, and graduated from Timmonsville High School in 1990.
Vinson pursued his passion for Mathematical Sciences at Clemson University, earning a BS in 1996. He further expanded his knowledge by obtaining a BS in Computer information Systems Management from Limestone College in 2004. His thirst for learning led him to Keller Graduate School of DeVry, where he completed his MBA with a concentration in Project Management in 2013.
In his professional journey, Vinson has held several key positions. He started his career in Asset Management at Solomon Smith Barney from 1997 to 2001. He then moved to NuVox Communications as a Business Development Manger, serving from 2001 to 2006. His expertise in project management was recognized at Windstream Communications, where he worked as a Senior Project Manager from 2007 to 2010 and later as a Senior Consultant in Marketing from 2010 to 2013.
Vinson transitioned to the financial sector in 2017, joining New York Life as a Financial Services Professional. His dedication and hard work led him to become a Partner at New York Life in 2020, a position he holds to this day.
Vinson is a Certified Project Manager (PMP_ via the Project Management Institute since 2009 and a Certified Personal Trainer through ISSA since 2008.
When he's not working, Vinson enjoys playing basketball, training for physique competitions, and reading. He cherishes spending time with his family and relaxing at the beach. His life is a testament to his commitment to continuous learning, professional growth, and personal fulfillment.
Kimberly Peynado, Field Service Operations Manager, oversees the processing of all business and administrative duties at the Greenville General Office. Kimberly and her staff ensure that Agents are properly licensed and registered to solicit business and make sure that Agents get paid.
